Hey guys! Nice to meet you.

I'm new here. I saw that you're such kind people to help with these kinds of issues (thanks for that).

I bought the waterproof D7X Nylotech in an M/L Size (My first drysuit 🙈). I'm not sure about the size because now that I'm trying it on again, I see that the legs are maybe too long. I tried an M size but the boot size it's 37 (I have the same shoe size), so it doesn't bring me too much space for 4th extra sock (in comparison, the M/L is 38/39). I mean, I can wear 3 socks and it fit comfy, but there is no more space. And I also feel a little bit more freedom in my shoulders with M/L.
I can make a squat with both and rise my arms.

What do you think about the boots? Do I need some free space, or is it ok if the socks are filling it all?

P.D.: I'm wearing a 500 gr/m2 undergarment (is not that fluffy) like the "waterproof nord". I'm going to dive in cold waters (Arctic and Antartic) in summer. Any suggestions for undergarments are welcome also.

Any help and advice are welcome!

Thank you!! ❤

The medium looks like it fits you a bit better from those 2 photos but would really need to see it in person to form a real opinion. Make sure you try it on with drysuit undergarment booties not just a stack of socks.

I think both looks good, but I think I would go with the M/L. It will give you more flexibility with what you wear under it. The extra length in the legs are needed when you are in a horizontal position with the fins slightly elevated, I wouldn't worry about it.

I think they said they already had very thick undergarments on in those photos

I find it very hard to tell from photos.

The ML seems to be more tight on the belly, but thats kind of weird. I suspect there is less air inside?

The Santi manual (you can google it) suggests two positions to test.
Sit on knees and butt on the vers. You sjould be able to keep the arms easily stretched to the top or slightly behind the head. The suit should not restrict you.
Then do similar but one foot on the ground, other leg on the knee (both sides).

Just had that when my suit was measured. So I am happy with my undergarnment choice, but I have no comparisson. I am not sure if that information would be useful then.

Wow! Arctic and Antarctic? Tell us more. Sorry, not trying to hijack your original intention, but very curious about the dives!

Both look more or less alright. Just make sure you are wearing the thickest undergarment you're gonna use when sizing.
The magic word for undergarments is "layers".

Thin synthetic wicking base layer, thin fleece layer as a mid layer, and then the thicker fleece or wool or thinsulate layer.

I use a falcon thermal layer, bare ultrawarmth base layer and waterproof body2x layer under my d7x in winter here. (about 4°C)

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I know it isn't very easy with pictures. I record some videos and I can do the same with boots, the only difference is the boots (The M/L one still has 1/1,5 cm extra with the merino socks haha ).

Thanks for your reply! Yes, that's true, I don't think it will make a big difference with the extra air because it's not so much with the merino socks or that my boot is going to fall (That was the thing worrying me a little bit). Greetings :happywave:

Thank you so much for the tip! I'll read the manual. I can do the same things with both of them but the M doesn't have more free space on the boot compared with the M/L, which I still have 1cm extra.
Greetings!
