Water Temp on Playa del Carmen/Cozumel area in January?

Hi Guys.
I will be heading to playa del carmen in mid january 2009. Do you guys know what is the avg water temp during that time of the year? Would you guys I should bring my 3/2 wetsuit, or the 5mm?

The temp here in January is from 77-80F. You will be hot in your 5mm unless you get cold in the water. I wear a 1.5mm long and I am perfectly fine, but also I know dive masters and instructors that wear 3mm and get cold so it all depends on what you are comfortable in.
