I get cold easily so wondering if temps at depth(120') are in the 70's.

I dove yesterday in Pompano Beach, Florida, which is not exactly right by the Spiegel Grove, but the temperatures shouldn't be too much different. The water temperature yesterday was 78 Degrees. I would think that the Key Largo/Tavernier area is probably somewhere around 78 to 80 Degrees these days.

As far as anticipating a different temperature at depth, I dove the Spiegel Grove last month and did not notice any significant temperature difference between the bottom and the surface, but thermoclines have always been an unpredictable phenomenon anyway!

yesterday water temps @ south carysfort reef(8 miles north of the grove) were 78-79F @ 75FT. last monday temp @ molasses deep was 78F @ 90FT. i was chilled after 2 sixty minute dives with a 3MM full suit/no hood,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

The others already hit it on the head with the temps...

but wanted to post this as you can get recent temp reports from the NOAA Molasses Reef monitoring station which is only a couple miles away. The grove should be in the same temp range as it.

Cool...looks like the drysuit will stay and I'll just add a hood to the 3mil just incase. Thanks guys.
