Does anyone know of a good site to check the water quality at Cal beaches? I know alot of the beaches in SoCal are closed due to the sewage run-off, but I was wondering how far north it goes?

Thanks

Rick,

That's a great question. The only site I know of is SurRider Foundation's Rashguard.org site. They've added current beach water quality info.

They also publish some current water quality test reports. They're not comprehensive reports (select beaches only ); nor are they real time (some reports can be several days old). Check out :

Thanks everyone. there is good info on these sites. Just what I was looking for.

I thought about walking over to Hermosa on Monday, but decided against it. Some things I just don't need to know firsthand.

That is true.

The beaches are open again, already. I am diving up at Deer Creek this weekend, and on the Motivation boat dive next Sat. That should be enough time to clear the floaters out of there.:D
