Wind waves beat us to a pulp this morning as we returned to Willow Cove, Catalina in search of the Orange-throated pikeblennies. Most of the life we found two weeks ago was gone. Visibility was ten feet. I found one pikeblenny but it wouldn't cooperate. Only a handful of Apata pricei remained on the eel grass. We'll try again in September when the fish are active.
