It first showed over a year ago (Jan or Feb of '06 IIRC). It's an episode of the series "Mega Movers". It's also available on DVD from the History Channel.

Thank you. * What part did you play in the project?

Just one of the divers on the crew (there were about 10 of us). We were all volunteers, and most of us have worked together on other, long standing projects/ groups (WKPP and AUE), with the exception of the 4 divers with Air Pirates.

Very Cool CD! I enjoyed the show and thought the same thing.."Gee she looks familiar?"

Now you guys are ready to pull the B-52 out of Lake Mead...?

From the Museum of Flight link you posted:

"After the aircraft is cleaned and sprayed with anticorrosive chemicals, the B-25 will be reassembled inside the new exhibit hall, where sand and lighting will be used to make the craft look like it’s still on the lake bottom."

Ummm, sand? Didn't look much like sand on that lake bottom. Are they going to pass out dark glasses at the door and use a randomly flashing strobe to simulate the vis :D

I still can't get over how cool the show was.

How did you get the SMB to lay on its side once the lifting materials were in place on the plane? Were you shooting the bag from depth?

We were trying to use the SMB to signal from the bottom (ie it was the signal for those of us topside to send something down). There wasn't any weight on it. It was also useless, the divers were yanking the crap out of it trying to stand it up, but we were seeing nada topside!

Fascinating :D The narrative said when it was laying on its side that was the signal that the divers had gotten something in place. It made it sound like the SMB was vertical while they worked then tipped over if they were successful.

How long were the "shifts" underwater and what kind of deco obligations did you have? It looked like you always brought one team up before sending another one down so briefings could be done.
