I couldn't believe how warm the water was! I thought it was because I used a new hooded vest and it kept me super warm. Our max depth was only 30 feet but my buddies went without a hood and gloves for our second dive. I never hear of this in Rockport (just Rhode Island).

Anyway, the water was as calm as glass. Easy entry/exit and interesting underwater life made Plum Cove a perfect dive site for both my beginner buddy (his first dive after certification) and my experienced buddy (who never dove Plum Cove).

Underwater life we saw included moon snails (lots), skate (one), lobsters, spider crab, other typical crabs, large stipped bass, tautogs, shrimp and flounder. I also saw a small school of silversides (too small to tell though).

It was great!

Hi Trish.

May I ask how you handled the parking? Used to be you could park there until 11am. Is it still the case?

Thanks for sharing.

Eileen

Hi Eileen,

We dropped off our stuff then parked our cars on a sidestreet nearby. It doesn't look like you can park on the street even before 11am anymore.

Bummer. But thanks for the info.
