Is there a different reflector that will provide this?

For tihgter beam at LM you have to put reflector deeper down for few mm (around 3mm).

As I remember you can :
1.)cutoff a litle reflector back (simpler ) or
2.)turn screw groove back (very awkward )
3.)pull out HID bulb a little (a little out of socket cca 1-2mm) - same effect as previous

another option is EKPP reflector http://www.scubasupport.nl/webshop/PRODUCT/331/LANG/2/EKPP-Reflector.html

The LM HID head is really adjustable. You've adjusted it all the way and it's still not tight enough? Weird. Is something stuck in the slide?
