The Cherokee County Dive Team (Ga.) is in need volunteers who would like to become Public Safety Divers (PSD's). The team is comprised entirely of volunteers who train bi-monthly. Probationary Divers must attend two (2) week long training classes at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth, Ga prior to being utilized as divers on actual operations.
Don't want to look for ??????? in a zero vis environment? That's ok because we also need top side personnel. No tender = No dive.
Cherokee County residents who are certified are prefered, but policy allows for residents of surrounding counties to participate as well.
Applications may be picked up at Cherokee County Fire Station 20 which is on Bells Ferry Road, just north of Towne Lake Parkway in Woodstock Ga.
