Hey All,

Glad to be a part of the scuba elites. Got certified on the 4th Where can I find my scuba buddies??? The buddymatrix doesn't seem to work. I'm in the Gaspe, Quebec area.

I've never had success with the buddy matrix. Your local subforum on Scubaboard is a good start.

Check if you have any local dive clubs and find buddies there. Go to your LDS and ask if they have drop-in dives (free or not). You can meet buddies and exchange information. Maybe your LDS or local dive clubs have Facebook pages or web sites; look for buddies there too.

Make sure you're up front about your experience and diving goals once you start diving with new buddies in order to avoid communication problems.
