Of course as many of you know there were a butt load of people at Voertex this weekend and it was soooooooo cold. I met a group of guys who were from Kentucky, dry suit diving. Thought that would be kinda neat to dive dry suit, but like I told them the fire department just doesnt pay me enough to be able to afford one. The group I was with, kinda aggrivating just wanted to sit around and talk and then when we got in the water they just wanted to sit on the surface and talk more, kinda aggrivating but I got my diving in anyways with another friend of mine who met me down there. Like I said earlier most of you were probably there anyways but Visibility was pretty bad. But anytime you are able to dive IMO is always a great day. Anyways, what are your thoughts on the weekend? Did everyone have a good time?

I had a great time...always have fun diving with you :D

Felt like a moron when I jammed my reel, though (and on the first time ever using it!). I finally got it unjammed while at work today.

Next time, we should try to go on a weekday...I couldn't believe how many people were there! The phrase "pea soup" immediately comes to mind :)

or get there Fri night, get signed in and dive at the crack of dawn - first in at Vortex usually has great viz

I'm guessing it's died down, because I didn't see any evidence of it....

What is the fued about?havent heard anything about it

It's a pissing contest between the previous owner, who lives on site at the big house, and the new owner/management of the spring.

Is the fence still up? (chain link fence seperating the property down to the spring? anyone diving (gearing up) on the other side of the fence?

Not sure if it's died down or if Doc is just out of town in his "south Florida winter residence". Spring will tell once it gets warm.

The fence is still up, but there was absolutely no one diving on the other side of the fence, at least as far as I noticed...
