All,

The following email was forwarded to me. It seemed interesting so I emailed Dick Carey to get more information. There will be a diver workshop on Saturday 3/19, which
I won't be able to attend, since I will in Florida. It will be a good opportunity to get training on what these divers do, which is to maintain 5 oyster reefs on the Magothy River. If you're unable to make the training, I am sure you can be added to the roster, I was. So those of you who would like to volunteer your services send him an email. Magothy River is located just north of Annapolis, MD.

Subject: Diver Workshop-Magothy River Association

Good Morning,
The Magothy River Association is recruiting divers for projects in the river. Although I take on divers all year long it is easier if they start by attending the workshop. The workshop gives us a chance to introduce them to many of the techniques we use. It can also be benificial to your conservation program and SAV planting as part of
the workshop is devoted to the use of meter squares and transect lines. Although we are interested in oysters the same basic princpals are used.

Many thanks
Dick
