visiting L.A...need dive info

will be there May4-9. Was hoping to get atleast one boat dive in. Will only need tanks and weights. What's a must see in that area as far as diving goes? Contact Info as well to set up a dive before I leave here. Transportation is limited so hopefully from L.A. area.

transportation limited? dude, this is LA, you'll need to rent a car, lol

must see: take a dive boat to catalina or anacapa (boats go out of long beach or ventura), you'll do 3 or 4 dives in 1 day.

Since you are going to be here for such a short period of time, I would suggest you go to Catalina and dive Casino Point. You can rent tanks and weights right from the air station. If you are not familar with diving kelp, I would suggest you take a Discover Local Diving in which I believe Scuba Luv on Catalina provides. Don't forget your 7mm wetsuits or drysuit. Water has been COLD!

I agree with Jan...I think Catalina is a WONDERFUL place to dive. The dive park has wrecks, great kelp forests and is conducive for divers....have a great trip!
