I'm coming to Chicago for a conference and would like to schedule a couple of dives on June 5 or 6. In need of a recommendation for a dive boat that can provide tanks and weight. Camera friendly boat and a "guaranteed" buddy (do divemasters dive with guests on Chicago boats?). Thanks.

none of the boats here in Chicago offer tanks or weights. You have to rent them from a shop and then drag them along with you. Most boats will pair you up with an extra diver or the DM from what I recall but I have always brought a buddy with me.

Captain Dan of Loves Park SCUBA can take care of your tank and weight needs. His boat, the Lockwood Explorer, is a little small but does have a covered cabin. That might work for your camera needs. Web search Loves Park SCUBA. He has his charter dates posted on the website as well as other contact info. How mobile will you be? He sails from Milwaukee mostly. Contact him for alternate sailing locations.
