I don't know about Hood Canal -- viz in the Sound has been holding in the 20 to 30 foot range for a while (really nice). If you don't get an answer here, consider going to the nwdiveclub.com site and asking there. There are people actively diving all areas of Puget Sound there.
 
its been 20-30' in the Canal once you get out of the muck in the top layer.
 
Vis in Elliott Bay on Saturday was very good down to about 180 fsw ... 20-40 feet. Below that it dropped rapidly and considerably ... by the time we got to the Fuller @ 220 fsw it was in the 3 to 5 foot range.
