Nice video.. How did you like the hike to the lake? I was there last March... It was a lot of work with the video and housing but well worth it..

I hated that hike! I ended up having one of the dive guides carry my video rig for me (it weighs around 11-12lbs). I am short so the steps were difficult without using the rope to pull myself up in spots and I just couldn't do it holding the rig. Jellyfish lake was okay but I am not a snorkeling fan, after 15 minutes I was bored and had plenty of footage.

I am not a big snorkeling fan either. I was not going to do it but once there I am glad I did. There are actually 2 kinds of Jellys in the lake .. I didn't get the other one either.. It was only on the far side and I didn't get that far..
the video is great, especially the quality (especially for a youtube video)! How did you go about saving the file (what did you save it as before uploading it)? im having trouble with the quality of my videos when i try to get them to youtube.

thanks Justin! I saved the video file as an mpeg first before uploading. It makes the file small enough that it works well for YouTube. Some of my older videos on YouTube I had loaded as lower quality wmv files and they don't look very crisp.
edit: Justin - I just looked at your website and realized you may not be shooting video with a video camcorder. That makes all the difference. Videos from still cameras are very low quality to begin with and don't work well with the transfer compression.
