we did our annual trip out to Calif back in August and I shot a few hours of video. I know it isn't Blue Hole, but gosh, it is diving and cold water too. So I thought you guys might enjoy it a little..... dive sites: Oil platform Grace, Anacapa, & Santa Cruz. (I just posted this on the video forum too)

please be sure to "save target as" to your computer and play it from there!

Great Video, thanks for sharing. What dive op/charter did you use?

we used "Peace" www.peaceboat.com for the oil rig day, and then "Spectre" www.calboatdiving.com for the other 2 days. They are both out of Ventura harbor.
I have pictures and more videos at our website: www.rnrscuba.net

I've been spending quite a bit of time in CA this year for work and try to dive there every opportunity I get. Have made two weekends at the Catalina Dive Park and a "Wrinkles" dive @ Heisler Park in Laguna Beach with the SoCal Kelp Divers from Scubaboard. I also highly recommend it if you can make it out there.

The dive park two weeks ago was a balmy 70 degress surface & 68 degress at depth and about 25-30 ft. visibility.

Just post a note in the SoCal forum and you'll most likely have a dive buddy within hours.

I was at the Wrinkles in Laguna Beach, June 10th. Did we meet? It was hard to remember everyone's name much less keep straight which handle went with which name:confused:

I had a great time and even had my picture taken with Wrinkles (We were both celebrating our birthdays)

I really enjoyed the videos. They sure make me want to go back to SOCAL!

Hey Dan,

It's ONLY a 14~15 hour drive!! How crazy do you want to get? Granted we can fly out for around $250, but then you need a car! :D Actually with what we both drive, we could fly for LESS! :shakehead

I need to buy another car so I can park this truck even MORE!

No, my Wrinkles dive @ Laguna was the Feb '06 dive.

I'm hoping to make a few more while my work has me in LA so often.

My brother lives out there and he is getting certified soon. I thought I might fly out there and dive with him for his first dives after getting certified. :14:
