Hi all,

I just put together a new video tutorial with ideas for practicing underwater photography while at home, looking specifically at depth of field, settings as they relate to exposure, and creative lighting.

One comment suggested practicing with camera inside the housing. Anything else you all suggest for all of us at home?

The goal is to keep our skills sharp so once safe to travel, we can support the dive industry via local shops and dive travel. Thanks!

Well, a month later and I just found this!
Some good ideas there, thanks for posting that. I especially like the idea of shooting your keyboard. Gives a very good visual for what happens to your depth and how different settings affect it.
I will definitely be getting the camera out and working with these ideas. And now that I have a direction, it should be no problem to add to it and find other things and scenarios to shoot!

I'm curious what's in your videos so I just started to follow your YouTube channel. Thank you for your efforts.

Daebado - Glad you enjoyed the video. The keyboard is just the start!

Panther - I hope you enjoy the videos. There are hours of photo instruction on YouTube and on my website MasterClass videos.

If you guys would like to go in-depth on this Practice UW Photo at home concept, I recorded a 1hr webinar with Atlantis Philippines, which you can watch on their YouTube page here:
Thanks again for the kind words.

Going through your videos right now. I like your enthusiasm that shines through in the videos. Relaxed, positive, pleasant to keep watching and listening. Also that you suggest certain approaches to situations and what their benefits are but continue to explain that the rules can be broken too.

Going through your videos right now.

Thanks Panther - very kind. There are usually exceptions, and while there's not enough time to review them (it would also be too confusing), it's worth noting that the exceptions exist. I hope you learn a few tips for your next dives!
