Recently, my dive buddy Joe Cocozza of PodDiver Radio: The Scubacast, was visiting with his new Evolution rebreather, when I discovered his Heads Up Display (HUD) cable laying on the floor on my garage! I asked, "Joe, is that a spare HUD and cable on my floor??" You can only imagine his horror at seeing a part of his new unit lying lifeless on the cold cement!

As it turns out, he was already having issues with one of the green LEDs being almost impossible to see. It was completely dim.

Neither Joe or I are approved AP Valves technicians, but with some email guidance from a company representative, we did manage to save his trip. So, "don't try this at home!" without taking responsibility for your own mistakes!--Jill Heinerth

In this video, we walk you through the procedure.
