We were in NC last week and did 2 days of diving (got blown out one additional day we had booked). Winds were high, which meant that seas were rough and boats couldn't go out for several days. When the boat did go out, vis was way down, probably due to the rough seas for so long.

Here is a short video of one dive, the Titan wreck, just off Morehead City, July 26th. Vis was only about 20' at best, lots of snotty water, plus some current so I wasn't able to get as much footage as I would like.

please start the video, then stop it until it loads completely, otherwise it will be jerky.

thanks Ron! Music is from the movie Inception (yes, my daughter has already bought the soundtrack). LOL

We saw more fish on EACH dive there in NC, than we do on a full week of diving in the Caribbean. Really, that many fish! There were so many fish at times you couldn't see the wreck at all. We saw sharks on every dive, too.

Wait until you see some of still shots of the sharks on the Spar. (I didn't take the video rig in as the DM briefed us that the current was ripping - turned out to be not so bad so i was really kicking myself for leaving it on the boat. )

We enjoyed the diving so much we are planning a return visit in the next year, for at least 5-6 days of diving this time!
