Here is the video from Day 2 of our Labor Day weekend trip on the Great Escape.
Diving at Catalina, Sept 2009 on Vimeo

Please let video load all the way before viewing!

Diving at Catalina was very mixed. We arrived at Little Farnsworth early in the morning after a very bumpy crossing from San Clemente. The original plan had been to shoot for Farnsworth but seas were really bucking so no go there. Little Farnsworth on the other hand was excellent. Thermocline at 40' depth was a real morning wake up. Yikes!! I shot video while Ron shot still photos and while we were doing it a GSB swam up behind us and hung out. We never saw him but other divers saw it and were laughing about it. We never turned around and saw him!
After leaving LF, Capt Tim tried to find us a nice kelp dive site but unfortunately, every dive boat in the Pacific ocean had arrived before us. After a couple of hours of searching, he finally dropped anchor on Little Gibraltar which turned out to be a dud. The kelp was virtually gone and so were the fish. I didn't get any good footage there for that reason so this video only has the dive at LF.
.... thank goodness diving on Saturday at SC was so fantastic!

That was great. I wish I had some of my dives videoed. My family doesn't dive and I would love to show them my experiences. Thanks for sharing!

Dave, I know how to do that but I prefer not to for a couple of reasons.
First, the video is displayed small, and I want people to have the option of seeing it larger, especially since it is HD. Vimeo also has a full screen option that you can access.
Second, I have a limited number of imbedded plays and by posting it this way I will get tagged for each play. I would prefer not to do that too often.

blue steal - I wish we could join you but it is too far and too many other things going on right now. I wish we lived closer!!!!
