Diving at Catalina was very mixed. We arrived at Little Farnsworth early in the morning after a very bumpy crossing from San Clemente. The original plan had been to shoot for Farnsworth but seas were really bucking so no go there. Little Farnsworth on the other hand was excellent. Thermocline at 40' depth was a real morning wake up. Yikes!! I shot video while Ron shot still photos and while we were doing it a GSB swam up behind us and hung out. We never saw him but other divers saw it and were laughing about it. We never turned around and saw him!
After leaving LF, Capt Tim tried to find us a nice kelp dive site but unfortunately, every dive boat in the Pacific ocean had arrived before us. After a couple of hours of searching, he finally dropped anchor on Little Gibraltar which turned out to be a dud. The kelp was virtually gone and so were the fish. I didn't get any good footage there for that reason so this video only has the dive at LF.
.... thank goodness diving on Saturday at SC was so fantastic!
