Hey Robin did you have any problems with the latch popping loose? Ours sprung open at 30ft but the pressure kept it closed. After that we put a band around it and it stayed latched.
Do you have the Backscatter housing or the GoPro housing?
I have the Backscatter underwater housing, and I did notice down around 80' depth, that there was some play in the latch itself but it was still latched safely. To me could be an issue, so anytime I was deeper than 60' I held onto the latch area with my free hand. It probably wasn't an issue, but it did make me a little nervous. I discussed it with my husband when we got back to the room and we don't see any way to attach a band on the unit without blocking the lens or display window on front. It is something to consider though.
I really don't understand why GoPro uses that hard white plastic instead of an o-ring at the seal. I wonder if there could be a "fix" by either GoPro or Backscatter, an o-ring you can insert yourself to solve this pressure related issue.
Has anyone contacted either company about it yet?

I am new to the GoPro HD. What are the best settings to use with a red filter? I am going to Cozumel in a couple of weeks and would like to get good results without "trail and error". Thanks...
I only used the 1080 WA mode the whole time on my trip, with the red filter underwater.
If you look at my test video you can see the differences in settings, but I really don't see any difference regarding the filter itself.

I am currently working on my shore diving footage (I did 6 shore dives with my GoPro, so lots of footage!).... all in water less than 25' deep, from the Scuba Club Cozumel front yard. I think there is some really good stuff there to show what the little camcorder can do, as well as the color filter. I hope to have something posted by Friday.
