I was out of Tarpon Springs today. Bottom temp was 74, vis was 25+. Very nice day in/on the water.

I went out to Veteran's Reef with MissD, Scott5644 and Narco$i$ on Narco$i$'s boat back on the 21st. Water temps then were 71 and vis was about 20ft.

Oh man! we had a awesome day out there today- the ride out was glass, saw tons of bait pods and kings chasing the bait. Once we got to the reef, there were a few H&L'ers but they were on the outskirts. The water temp was 75 and vis was ~30'+. Lots of juvies, a few GG's, the mother load of snook, and a 7' bull shark that basically hung out in the shadows and left us alone. All in all - great day, can't wait to get back out.

Sorry I didn't see this post sooner, I could have given you some info on the reef.

Did you get to the airplane barge or just the barges by the bouy ?

Where did you see the Bull exactly ?

We dive that reef quite frequently, would love to know where the Bull's hang out.

We dove the barges by the bouy which is where the bull was hanging out. Where's the airplane barge in relation to the bouy? I thought the plane was blown off and scattered to pieces? Now you got my attention...

If you head due south from the bouy, about 100 to 250 yards south and watch your bottom finder. You'll see about a 10 foot +/- a foot or 2 relief pop up. Thats the airplane barge. You are correct, the airplane is long gone, but the wings and engine cowlings are still there. Next time I fire up the GPS unit I'll get you the numbers.
