It's kind of funny since I've been shooting the same camera and housing as Herman since '02:
I have not had air conditioning where I've lived; Oahu's North Shore, West Maui, South Maui.
I gave up on desiccants half way through the North Shore years.
I sometimes mess with batteries at the dive site or on the boat.
Even when kayak diving where the camera sits in the sun for a "while" I can't remember fogging.
Now looking to go S95/RecSea and it looks like I will get back to the desiccants, but probably not the AC.
