If it is something worse just buy another on on Ebay. The 180's, 200's and 250's are all about the same and probably the Veo 2's and 3's too. I own about 5 Veo 250's. I carry 2 and my wife and another buddy each use 1 and I have another spare or 2. If you shop they don't cost that much.
The computer is a brand new unit so it is still under warranty. So if I flooded the unit after changing the battery then I stand to lose US$200.00. The on-line retailer is understandably reluctant to offer a replacement at the moment probably because the postage between USA and HK won't come cheap(min US$30.00 each way).

I think I will just change the battery eventually and see what happen.
 
The battery and O-ring are arriving soon from USA.
I had already purchased them locally for under US$2.00. Hopefully it is only the battery problem.
 
Changed the battery and the O-ring and did 4 dives.
So far so good.
