I've never had a problem with mine.
Both my wife and I dive them. They work out great.

Dive Rite generally makes good stuff.
This wing has a bit more lift than I choose in a Singles wing. I find a 30lbs wing more than adequate for diving singles, even steel.
Not sure why Dive Rite upped the lift on this wing, but maybe for rebreather use.

We use the older version 30lb wings, the new ones are 40lbs.

One way or the other, they should still be 30!

The original Venture wings (which I have) were way understated as it relates to lift. When you compared their size as well as actual in water performance, they really did not compare to a typical 30lb wing.
Compared to my 30lb Oxycheq Mach V there is easily 8-10lbs of additional effective lift. I use the Venture when I think there will be some significant time on the surface after a dive (drift or OW accent). If was my wing of choice on my recent Galapagos trip.
I can't say much about the new wing but physically it looks even wider along the bottom.

I looked at it when we visited the Long Beach Scuba show. The rep told me the only difference was an added 1” strip of material all around it.
