I fly out a week from Sat. Hope to meet up with some of you there. They do have Negra Modelo in Coz right?

I may be down there May 24-31 to fix up my house. Getting excited, huh, gordon?

You betcha! I'll miss you by a couple of days; too bad. Ano proximo, possible`?

5 days!

I dove with Blue Angel last month and think that you're more likely to be picked up about 8-8:30. If you're having email problems, try Jeannie's US email -- I've never had an issue with that one.

What happened to Natasha and the Cinqo de Mayo crowd? Haven't heard from them...

I'm sorta new to the forum here but Christi knows me well [she stayed 3 months with me when first here!] so I'd like to offer up the beach club [PalMar Estate} if you'd want to meet there for your reunion? It seems to be about halfway between for all of you so you could spend a nice day by the pool, on the beach and get to know each other better! Just let me know what date you pick and we'll be ready for you! I just met Natasha [board monitor] the other day and she encouraged me to start participating out here so I'd really like to get to know some of you!! Let me know how we can help facilitate your meeting!

Yes, they do, but an even better cervesa (IMO) is Leon Negra. It's brewed in Merida, I believe, and is not available in the States at all AFAIK. I'll be having my first one in a bit under 4 days...

No, thank you. I know that you have gone to the Scubaboard admins and obtained the ruling that what you are doing here (principally with your avatar) does not constitute a violation of the "no advertising" rule on this forum. With all due respect, I disagree.

I do not make or enforce the rules here, but I will vote against their ruling with my feet and my dollars. I will not be patronizing any of the businesses that you use Scubaboard to promote. No offense intended.

Cozumelinsider was invited by me, to participate in scuba board. She is an avid diver and has plenty of knowledge that can help divers on our board.
Her offer was very generous.

I'm not sure ggunn, what your beef is, but that was not a very friendly thing to say.
Sherry has just as much right to be here and post, as anyone else, and is not violating any of our TOS. I hope you will apologize to her.

Mel, ggunn is absolutely correct that, as good as Negra Modelo is (and it is widely available in Cozumel), Negra Leon is even better, though still hard to find around the island. I have been a Negra Leon addict since I discovered it in the old squatty brown bottles with only a spray painted lion's head and mane stencilled on (I think it was in 1988 or so).

Cozinsider, for many years, I have been one of the probably thousands of silent beneficiaries of your Cozumel Insider page, above all else, to keep up with the local news translated into English there and to check out ferry schedules and taxi fares and the like. I know of your significant involvement in organizing and sustaining the several local charities that support the indigenous population, and, having met and knowing some of the long-time ex-pats there (including Christi), I know what a helpful and generous person you have always shown yourself to be. So I would say to ggunn and those who don't know the island well, "Be a little kinder and less judgmental towards those who have businesses in Cozumel and post here: remember, they are the best source of information about Cozumel, and, short of blatant spanning, their mentioning their connections with their businesses is more likely beneficial than harmful." This, if it were construed to be advertising, is W-W-W-A-A-A-A-Y-Y-Y too mild to justify the same.

And Natasha, cozinsider will be (as you noted) a splendid addition to the pond.
