I am looking for a source for small stainless steel ball valves that will work on LP hoses. I would prefer that the valves have 1/4" NPT female inlets and outlets and a small handle. Even 1 way check valves would work as long as they were real small and well sealed.

I have googled several things with no real luck so I thought maybe someone on here might know.

I will clue everyone into what I am working on after I get everything figured out.

Thanks

A 1/4" 316 ss ball valve should cost about $16.00 to $20.00 each at most.
They will be rated at 1,000 psig, have 1/4" female npt connections, and the handle should be about 3" to 4" long. When I get into the office Tuesday I will post the pricing.
Here is a link to a line that I carry.

Thanks, Jim Breslin

I looked at the 2 sites you gave me and it looks like maybe I found 1 I like but its not a ball valve and there really isn't and specs on the site for pressure ratings and such. here is a link to the one that interested me:

http://www.swagelok.com/search/product_detail.aspx?part=SS-4P4T4-M1
and here is the search page for the size requirments I put in:
http://www.swagelok.com/search/find_products_results.aspx

those duravalves look real big and the 4 inch handle is way overkill but simplicity of there 1 piece investment cast valves looks good. I am not totally sure how much pressure is in a low pressure scuba hose so if anyone know could you clue me in.

I want the security and ease of quarter turn on/off and the small handle. I wish oxycheq was cheaper and made a valve besides the one on their gas switch bloch cause that is the size and style I am looking for. Thanks for those links.

IP is usually about 150 psi. Most hoses are rated for 250-500 psi.

Northwoods,
The 1/4" duravalve is $13.50 ea plus UPS, and we have about 30 pcs in stock.

As for teh Swagelok valve, its a plug valve rated at 3000 psig WOG. (water oil or gas)

Since you guys/gals seem to know alot about valves here is another alternative.

https://golemgear.com/p-316-qd-male-to-38-24male-check-valve.aspx

I dont know squat about check valves. say you had a manifold hooked up with a couple of these than I assume they only let air travel 1 dirrection right so would water go in to the manifold if there was no hose attached to one of these check valves. This is a nice setup cause its a QD and valve all in one but I think I like the idea of a manual valve instead.

Thanks JBRSE1 for that info but I dont suppose you would have a cad drawing of those or some dimensions. Can I put smaller handles on that valve. I dont really know what difference there is between a plug valve and a ball valve but I know I liked the size of that valve from swageloc.

Anybody know anything about those isolation valves, I am looking for dimensions and such.

thanks for all your help
