I was in a LDS the other day and noticed a small red piece of plastic on a one new XS-Scuba tank valves. I asked the guys in the shop what it was for and nobody had noticed it before. We started playing with it and saw a green ring under the handle that was exposed when the valve was open. OK, an open/closed indicator wont change the world, but it does add some convenience.
It is not often an idea comes along that does not compromise something else, costs so little, and is so elegantly simple. I can see significant safety advantages in commercial diving and industrial applications. Sorry, couldn't find photos on their Web site. Kudos to the innovator and I hope industrial valve manufacturers pay you lots of royalties or at least a thanks.
