First of.....this is my first post, so Hi to everyone, great site!

Now my problem....I'm going away with 3 other guys from work (leaving March 21, 22) for a 1 week all inclusive, however we need suggestions on where to go. We've all been to Cancun and Cozumel and want to try something different. Were mid-20's looking for an inexpensive location with good night life, and off resort activities such as deep sea fishing...etc. Cancun was great but like I said, a change of pace is needed. I'm the only one in our group who dives and wouldn't mind finding a good dive operation to check out also.

So far we've been looking at Puerto Vallarta, or Punta Cana.....

any suggestions/recommendations would be great. Please remember we are 4 mid 20's guys looking for an exciting trip!

Thanks.

Welcome!

Secondly, how about Phuket, Thailand? I think it fits pretty much all your criteria.....

hmmmm......well I'd love to visit Thailand, but I think I'd need longer than 1 week to do that. I was thinking of something more along the lines of Cancun, Cozumel, Cuba, something like that.

Somewhere with a good selection of activities, women, night life, sun, and surf.

I like Aruba. The diving is O.K. plus there is a lot to do including nightlife and casinos. It always seems to be 80-85 degrees; the water is also 80 degrees with 60 to 100 foot visibility typical. We liked it so much we bought a time-share. If you go the things to not miss are:
Diving the Anttila Wreck
Drinks at Iguana Joes
A Night out at Carlos and Charlie’s
4-Wheeler or horseback riding through the national park and swimming in the natural pool.
Renting a jeep and driving around the windward side (no roads, make your own).

Canuck,

Check out Playa Del Carmen. Excellent town south of Cancun across the channel from Cozumel. I loved it there. Not overrun by Americans, lots of European women, :) , for your 20's group. And if you want to dive you can head over to Coz for a day.

Aruba sounds great, except for the fact this is a last minute decision to take a vacation, so I didn't save a lot of cash. So we were looking for something cheaper.

Playa Del Carmen, great suggestion also...but I was there a couple of days during my trip to Cozumel. But that's the kind of place I'm looking for, had a great time there. Just looking for somethin new.

Keep 'em coming guys.....great ideas so far!

Why not try Cuba?

Being a Canadian, you don't have the same restrictions as our American friends when travelling to Cuba. My wife and I were down in Cuba just prior to Christmas. We stayed at the Sandals resort in Varadero, perhaps a little too expensive for your needs but there are lots of other great hotels. When we were there, it was singles week (a regular event) at the Beaches Resort!

I know from looking at our local weekend paper that there are some great deals from Canada to Cuba in the next few weeks. The diving was fantastic and we managed to do a little of everything.... Russian wrecks, big walls and cenotes!

Compared to Mexico it's quite a bit cheaper. Best of all, rent a scooter and travel anywhere you like. We did and loved it!

Mexman...thanks for the suggestion, where exactly in Cuba did you go? We considered Cuba but were told there really isn't a lot of activities off the resort....is this true?

Also that singles only week sounds great! Something definately up our alley!
