Well I updated my vacation cave diving mobile this evening. I was using battery powered lights under my custom rack I built but decided to go with a hardwired version that allows me to take the rack in and out disconnecting easily.

Another feature I wanted to add was a switch in the back that would allow me to access continuous 12v power and switched power from the dome light so when I open the car doors the lights will turn on.

I have another rack that goes in front of this which I can connect easily and remove both so that I have a flat surface from the hatch to the front seats. It allows me to pack things easier above and below the rack. Will be adding two lights on the ceiling in the very back but I feel pretty accomplished with this modification.

If you live in Florida you likely don’t have this because you only travel short distances to reach God’s Underwater Wonderland. I also don’t feel bad for you..
