Hi,

Looking at used UWATEC digital bottom timers and hoping someone can help me identify the difference between the original version and the newer digital 330. On the Scubapro website the photo shows the words "Digital 330m" between "max depth" and "UWATEC".

If "Digital 330m" is not listed on a used timer does that mean it is the older version?

The more I search the more confused I'm getting. Are there three version: 100m, 300m with max depth only and 300m with average depth (Digital 300m)?

Per the Scubapro website the Digital 300m was introduced in 2007, and the very first version was 1989. Any idea when the 300m with max depth only was introduced if such a model exists?

Thanks

There's only two types, the older non-averaging version and the newer averaging one (Digital 330M). I purchased my 330M new in March of 2008, and it say's "Digital 330m" on the face.

If it doesn't say digital 330m on the face, it's the older version.

I'm a ScubaPro Dealer and i do believe that there was a small period where ScubaPro just had a cosmetic change and the word UWATEC was written in cursive or in Italics font but either way it was a cosmetic change.

If you want the NEW version with average depth then DIGITAL 330m should be on the bottom of the screen with an Italics font.

I hope this makes sense to you.

Thanks John and Wayne. I've seen one listed (not on this site) with a max depth of 300m and another with max depth of 300 and average depth, neither had "Digital 300m" on the face. Both must be the original model.

More than the average depth I was concerned about the remaining battery life and offering an appropriate price.
