Hi Fellow Amphibians...
My wife and I, both in our fifties, are heading down to Utila in early December for some diving. We're going to stay for a few nights at the Lighthouse and then, who knows. I've heard of Alton's Dive Shop (he's the mayor!) near to the Lighthouse, and the Utila Dive Center further into town and closer to the Jade Seahorse. We're relatively adventurous, Spanish-speaking Canadians who dove West End on Roatan last May. I have my Advanced PADI and ACUC and have 55 dives, my wife has ACUC Open Water and 30-odd dives.
I am really looking for some advice about a dive group in Utila to do with. I know that in Roatan you just stroll along the single street and chat to the staff to see what sort of 'joint' they may be... Is that the same in Utila?
Who's been diving there recently and has some advice on their experience?
I'm all ears...
Sincerely
Pancho Madera
