Been diving around for years, at least 4 tanks per month, year round. Never dove the USS NH. I figured I would do an easy dive for the heck of it, just to see what is left. I got the coordinates and anchored near the spot. But, I never did find the wreck. There was (what looked like) an old lobster pot buoy near the spot I marked from the lat and lon. Was that a marker? We didnt try to hard to find her as we were finding bugs and flat fish, but it would have been cool. Did second dive at Egg Rock. Awesome spot, as usual.

Thanks,

TT

Where exactly is Egg Rock? I've heard about it a couple of times, all very positive comments. Is there a public boat launch in the area?

Search one of past PM's I sent to you back in April about Egg Rock. It's off magnolia point. Can get there from Winter Is. or Gloucester high school launches.

Take me off your boat and I'll show you exactly how to get there!. (subtle hint..)

Yes, Winter Island is closest. But, Kernwood is also not too far. Follow the coast North from Salem, counting islands: Bakers, Lil Misery, Great Misery, House, EGG, Kettle. You cant miss egg. It has nothing on it but birds and guano. On the western side you will see two small rocks (lil pigs). All sides of the island are great diving IMHO.

Anyone on the USS NH info?
