Using a retractable cable with a GoPro?

What do you think of attaching something like this to a retractable cable attached to a BC?

That's a good type I considered getting myself. If re-tractability is not of of great importance, that would do fine.

It's a little big for a retractor. I would use a coiled lanyard for that.
