If you want to change your username from now on (after the upgrades):

• Click on you username (top left) and select account details.
• Click on the Change button behind your username
• Enter the desired username and describe why you want it changed. If the desired username already exists, you'll see a notification.

Should be noted though, through the software it is allowed like once a month or something like that.

Note that members will still have to request a name change when a name is unavailable. It is not unusual to honor a name change request if a member with the requested name has not logged into ScubaBoard for a long time and had not posted a great deal.

In a case like that, a Moderator will rename the original inactive member's name so it can be given to the new requestor. We are working on a thread for the Frequently Asked Questions forum documenting both self and requested name changes.
