I bought the IRIS with the serial port plug and my computer doesnt have a serial port..... is there a way to make it work or do I need to just take the IRIS back to the store and return it?

You can go to Radio Shack or similar store and get a Serial to USB converter. It should work with this.

tried that, it doesnt work even after installing the drivers for the USB to serial.

Has mares released the USB iris yet? or do you know when it is gonna be released?
