Does anyone remember those things? My dad bought some bag from a storage unit and it had one of those in it with a dead battery. Manufactured in 1993!!!!!!
The back is completely encased in GEL, I wonder how deep this thing can go (probadly not far) but the gel is non compressible I think.

Should I donated that to a Museum, throw it on ebay?

Up to you as far as throwing it away or not. I have one too (I think mine might be the M2) and dove with it for about 15 years before upgrading to a Nitrox puter. The battery can be replaced. I believe UWTEC is the outfit who took over the battery replacement service for USD. I had my battery replaced twice during the time I dove it ...but like yours, mine is dead at the moment. I have the wrist scabbard as shown in your pic as well as the original console that also incorporated an SPG and Compass.

I have an M2 which was manufactured in 90 or 91. They were made my Uwatec, and yes you can still get the batteries replaced. Aside from only using I believe a 6 tissue computation, they are still very good comps. While not nitrox, as a gas comp they are still useful. If you want a back up comp get the battery changed and keep it around.

I have both M1 and M2 computers. They will work to the recreational dive limit with no issue. The batteries are available on Amazon (ER14505 AA 3.6V Lithium Battery with AX Solder Tabs). Just open the back and dig out the silicone around the battery being careful not to destroy the wires. Some Motorcraft Silicone Gasket Remover helps free up the battery once you have it exposed.
