Pony - Bigz; How about reports of your trip to Sunset Waters? I may take my wife there in May and would love to hear current news about what shape the resort is in, dive OP, other things to do at Sunset etc. etc.

Thanks

Henrik

Trip Report:

Let's start with - I can't wait to go back - again! Sunset Waters was excellent. Even though it could use a little "freshening" of some of the fixtures, it was very nice and the food was enjoyable. Staff are VERY helpful and athe dive op staff were fabulous. Even though there were a lot of people-changes since our trip 2 years ago, the level of service did not suffer. Lynn runs a great operation.

The diving was excellent. We fell in love with Radio City all over again. What can you say? When you've had a great morning on the boat, rest for a while and then look at your buddy and say "I'm bored - let's go diving". It is that simple. Gear up at the shop, put tanks and weights in the wheel barrow, walk to the shore, put on your tank/BC, walk into the ocean, and then you're on the reef in a minute or so. It is fantastic. If you missed a great shot one day, you can try it again the next time. The reef is very dependable and very interesting - even if all you want to do is lie there and let swarms of Chromis swirl around you. You're diving is limited only by your abilities, N2 accumulation, and how hungry or thirsty you get in between.

As return guests, we were given very nice treatment right from the start. Don't expect 5 star facilities but do expect to really enjoy yourself and you will love the diving.

I can only echo the review of BigZ. We had a wonderful time and were treated very well. Jim was a wonderful host and went out of his way to make us feel like family. Sunset Divers and Staff are second to none and I am already inquiring about a return trip with them in June to teach my daughter to dive. The rooms were very comfortable and have the minor wear and tear issues as do most resorts. Food was fine with only the desserts becoming a little repetitous.
