Very unique and altogether different.... Wife wanted another of these T-shirts so I had to book 2 weeks for December (can't get them in the states).

The shop marg is talking about is next door to the Mission restaurant. The artist's name is Carlos. The work is not day of the dead, it is in the style of the Mexican artist Jose Posada. Posada was a political satirist. He is rolling in his grave at the current state of affairs.
The shirts are dyed using a wax method similar to batik.

I have a very large painting of his over my bed in Cozumel. It was a gift from my wife, who brought it home atop a rented vocho before we got a car. I love that painting. It really is very reminiscent of Posada engravings except it's set underwater.
