Hey all,
Sitting by the pool at the Little Cayman Beach Resort. I have some pictures from the first 2 1/2 days of diving but the camera is kaput. Seems the shutter button broke off its post and attempts to glue it back in place are all for naught. grrrrrrrrr

Guess I'll just have to dive and pay attention to my wife. <g> BTW, the weather is awesome and the diving great. Presently enjoying cocktail hour :)

What camera are we talking about?

Man. You scared the crap out of me. "Unhappy in Little Cayman" is not the title you want to when you are headed there in 4 days! Sorry about your camera :(.

It's a Nikon D90 in an Aquatica Housing. Anyone else have this problem happen to them? I'm guessing that the lever that contacts the button isn't properly centered and pressing more towards the edge thus stressing it until it broke off.

Becca, all is good on the island. The wind has been up making for a rough ride baack and forth to the dive sites but the diving has been great. Lots to see, reef is healthy and the viz on the north side is over 100ft.

Have a great trip!

Little Cayman Beach Resort has a little photo facility there (last time I was there anyway), they should have something for rent.

How long are you there for? Try getting something over from Cathy Church on Grand Cayman, she has some nice rentals too.

Just a day and a 1/2 left of diving. Just going to dive and enjoy it camera free and this will be the excuse to come back again soon.

Considering the expense of something like that you might expect it to work flawlessly, you might.

I was unhappy in Coz once, as I watched bubbles coming out of my new SB102 strobe on it's first dive. Yeah, they replaced it, great, I would have preferred it worked on my trip.

Hope you get it all worked out.

Seriously... You scared me too. My wife and I are going to Little Cayman on Sunday and my stomach turned when I ready the subject... I guess I'll see you there Becca.
