I got a Canon SD1000. The image quality is just OK above the ground. How to make it work underwater? What kind of waterproof cover does it need? Where to buy it? Any other suggestion about underwater camera/camera housing is appreciated. Don't have to be expensive ones, average priced ones is better

Any idea about Ikelite 6147.10 Underwater Camera Housing/ Case?

Thanks
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

I'm wondering the same thing! I just completed my OW certification and am interested in underwater photography. I also have a Canon SD700 (one step down from yours). I checked Amazon they do have a case - however, it is certainly pricey!

Another question I have to add onto Jeff's: are these Canon cameras good for the underwater photography class, and for underwater photography in general? Is it worth it to invest in a $180 waterproof case?

Thanks!

kelley
