Has anyone purchased or used an underwater metal detector? I've been looking at a Garrett that has an operating depth of 200'. I think this would be fun, but would like some input if anyone has any! Thanks!

You plan on some serious treasure hunting hehe. Indeed it could be fun, but exactly how many dives are you going to spend, scimming the buttom with your metal detector? Would'nt it become boring after a couple of hours of endless searching, finding rocks and old beer cans?

We have a JW Fishers. Apparently it's one of the best units available. I've never used it underwater though.
