Hi everybody,

I'm looking for an affordable setup to film in full HD underwater using a fisheye lens. I think the

Canon WP-V2 Waterproof Case for HF-M31 together with an Inon UFL-165AD fisheye lens could work for me. Did I get it right that the mentioned housing and converter lens are compatible without any further adapters? Is this a good setup or do you have a better suggestion for me?

You opinions are very appreciated!

Hi, I don't think that lens will work, it has an AD mounting.:depressed:
The Canon WP-V2 has a 67mm thread to mount lenses, UWL-100 (100 degree) is the wide angle lens to use on this camera and i think you can add the dome as well for (150.8 degree).
Unless you can get a mount base for the WP-V2 with the AD mount!:dontknow:

Cheers.

yes, I noted that later... There's a niche for the video equivalent to Canon's G11. I think I start saving and hope somebody releases a cheaper housing/lens for something like the Panasonic GH1.

why a fish-eye lens?

I like the arty feel to fisheyes and think it's a nice thing to have for close encounters with whales/big fish. Anyway, given my modest budget I settled for the Sanyo VPC-HD 2000/Epoque housing with wide-angle lens and color correction filter. I hope that it's a good choice.
