They're claiming 4 knot speed which should give it good capability if it's sufficiently easy to 'fly' relative to current.

I have an OpenROV at work that I haven't had a chance to dive yet. My concern with the OpenROV is that it appears more designed for use in confined water and shallow environments vs open ocean - unless you make major upgrades to the tether system. It's also not very hydrodynamic.

We pre-ordered two of the Gladuis systems - so hopefully they'll be successful and ship this summer so we can test them.
