I am interested in buying an underwater cam unit which is esentially a small camera with 20m cable attached to a lcd screen.

I want to use it in conjuction with my sounder to identify suitable reef structure for catching lobster without having
to kit up go down and use 20mins of air only to find the reef is not suitable.
It can also be used for identifying fish and structure, and improve my sounder interpreting.

Has anybody used one and how useful are they?

Regards Michael

Check your local hunting/fishing regs first.

Two issues I can see, cloudy water or lobsters deeper then 20m. What if the lobster is hiding in cracks/crevices?
