I just received this, so I thought I'd pass it on.


Underwater BC 2005
January 22nd & 23rd
Vancouver Aquarium

I would like to invite all the divers in the province to join us in a
"Celebration of Scuba Diving in British Columbia".

Dates: Saturday, January 22nd & Sunday, January 23rd

Times: 10:00am until 5:30pm both days.

Cost: TWO-FOR-ONE or HALF PRICE to divers that show their
C-Cards at the door.

Details:
· Over 30 displays ranging from the Artificial Reef Society to the RCMP Dive Team.
· Presentations by the Historical Diving Society, the Coast Guard and World Champion Freediver: Mandy-Rae.
· A chance to meet and chat with divers from all over the province.
· And of course you have a World Class Aquarium to wonder around in.
· Please note that there are still a couple of booths available for participants.

That sounds like a lot of fun. Unfourtunatly I won't be able to go. If anyone goes, please tell me how it went.
 
I'd also love to check that out, but sadly I'll be in Fiji diving instead :p
 
I'm planning to go, not sure which day yet. Sounds like fun. Regardless I'll get in for 1/2 price, and there is always a lot to see at the aquarium.

It had been a while since I was at the aquarium. I spent four hours there with my family and had a great time.

There were booths from various organizations even a handicapped diver group.

I talked to a girl at the UCBC booth who told me that sometime this year they will be starting a website where you can record any unique sightings that might occurr in our waters. With all the divers out their I'm sure we could give them some new info that could get the scientists scratching their heads.

Cool pics, I missed the free dive shows but I did get some good ones of the sea lion bellowing at us. I'll try to post those soon, don't have my cam handy.
