I might be going on the T&C Aggressor next year. I will only be 17 is there any thing I will need to think about before I go?

Also, A parent will not be on the boat with me.

There are various problems with minors crossing international borders without both parents.

Check ahead of time what documentation will be needed for each crossing.

Crossing an international border as an unaccompanied 17 year old should not pose any problems. Just std. travel docs, i.e. a valid passport would be enough. The problems happen if they are with some one other than a parent. If traveling with someone other than a parent a signed notarized letter stating whom, what, and where, would be a good idea.

The other that you might want to look into is being declared an emancipated minor but that is probably overkill. But what are the term and conditions for live-a-board for being an unaccompanied minor? That might be the biggest hurdle. Have fun.

We ran into this very topic this summer. There was a 17 year old girl and her father on the boat pretty much every day for two weeks, but due to the fact that she was not legally an adult, she where unable to go out without an adult when her dad wanted a day off. He pretty much "signed her over" to one of the other guests (who in no way where old enough to be her mother) and it was fine..

id just contact the aggressor office but shouldnt be an issue !! you will love the trip!!!!! top boat!!! amazing destination!!

a pair of socks to wear in the salon...my feet always get cold..rule number 1 no shoes on the boat...you will spend most of your time in a swimsuit so take a few and only a few shorts and t-shirts. less is more on a LOB...have fun...it is a great boat and Amanda is a super captain

Other than checking with the fleet about being an unaccompained minor, I just suggest being prepared to being the youngust guest on board on to not have much in common with the "older" folks, other than the diving-which on a LOB, what else is there? Enjoy yourself.
