Anyone can fast track my approval? Already opted in on Preferences.
You're fine.

Here's the thing. WE don't need to add anyone: it's up to you, and this is draining our time and fun. Once you have the prerequisite number of posts (25) locate your name in the upper right of the the page...

Left click on your name and this drop down box will appear, only with your name...

Left click on "Preferences" and another dialog box will appear. Scroll down @ 2/3s of the way down and find this...

Tick the boxes next to the forum(s) you want access to. Left click on "Save" at the very bottom and you're done. No mod intervention is needed.

Please be patient! It will take an hour or so for the DB to catch up. Once you can, though, you'll be able to make your first classifieds post! Yay! Carefully craft it, with loads of pics, click on "Post Thread" and then watch as it doesn't appear! Wha??? That's right: no one can see it yet. That's the part that will require a moderator to come in and manually approve it, completing the process. It only has to be done on the first post, but please resist the urge to ask us WHEN will it appear and continue to demonstrate your patience instead! I promise it's actually there. :D :D :D We normally check the cue several times a day, albeit a bit less on weekends, so we'll get to it. It might take a few minutes. It might take an hour. It might take even more. Yes, on weekends it might even take a day. I had one user make his post @3am, and was incensed it just didn't pop up. Patience is a highly desired virtue.

Do we like this system? Meh. Unfortunately, a few bad actors trying to scam our users have necessitated us doing SOMETHING. It's not perfect and we're still vulnerable to a determined scammer. Sry, but it's the best we've been able to come up with. In any event remember the following:
Deals too good to be true almost always are.
Those seemingly well-meaning users sending you an email address of someone who has the item you're looking for is more than likely a scammer. PLEASE REPORT THE DM!!!
Deal locally when possible and cash is king.
PayPal is safest after that, but don't let them con you into sending funds for "friends and family".
CCs (not debit cards) have some protection.
Unless you want to kiss your money goodbye, Zelle, checks, cash in the mail, and money orders offer no protection. These are loved by scammers. DON'T USE THEM!!!
Scams can go both ways! Some buyers can be bad actors.
Please report any suspicious activities.
Caveat emptor, caveat emptor, caveat emptor. We have no fiduciary connections with anyone selling anything on ScubaBoard. We can't make them refund your hard earned money. Sure, we can and have banned them, but that's it.
