On a night dive yesterday one of my C8 lights flooded, The battery is toast and the bulbs exploded. I have been looking for replacement parts and don’t know what to do. I got the light on sale for $37. Is it worth repairing or just keep it for extra parts. I have been thinking of getting the led replacement bulbs and reflector. But the replacement set is $55 and a new C4 led is $45 and uses the same set as the C8. Then rebuilding the battery pack I am good at that stuff. But just getting the rechargeable batteries to put in it are going to be between $22 and $36. But I am sure my pack will be much better than the UK one. So what should I do?

If you are looking to get a new light, you should look at the Princeton Tec Shockwave LED. It has a higher EV rating, longer burn time and is about the same price as the UK Sunlight C8 LED.

Call UK & see if you can return it to them for a fix or replacement. They've got a lifetime warrantee and are quite reasonable.

Yeah i had a UK SL6 explode (salt getting on the battery i think). I emailed them and they told me to send it in and they'd replace it no questions asked. Great service!

Yep, contact UK ... I had a C8 rechargable flood on me once, and they repaired it free of charge (lifetime warranty).

I have to say I was impressed ...
